Thunder Lights Up Your Weekend Escape

No matter where you choose to drive and explore this great country of ours, you need a reliable set of driving lights that offer a strong volume of light to get you where you need to go and back again.

To make sure you can make the most of your next weekend escape, Thunder has released a range of driving lights comprising two round lights and three single light bars and a dual light bar. These lights come with features not usually associated with lights of this price, including high quality Cree LEDs.

Cree LEDs are efficient LEDs with low current draw and an expected life of over 50,000 hours. Each LED produces a powerful beam with a bright, white 6,000 kelvin output which when combined with other LEDs, creates a large volume of light in front and to the periphery of the vehicle to illuminate the road ahead and dangers to the side.

Both styles of driving lights are built with a tough, shatterproof polycarbonate lens to protect the LEDs from damage, while the clear construction helps ensure a clean, crisp light.

The round lights are constructed from die cast aluminium housing with a stainless steel mounting bar, while the light bars are housed in extruded aluminium with stainless steel mounting brackets. Look closely on the light bar mounting brackets and you’ll see the coolest feature on any driving light – a laser cut lightning bolt. Both lights are designed to suit the harsh Australian conditions, with IP67 water and dust immersion protection.

There are multiple sizes available, so no matter what you drive, be it a Nissan Patrol, Toyota LandCruiser or Suzuki Vitara, there will be a Thunder driving light to suit your needs.

Thunder is known for making a weekend escape more accessible, especially because many of us can only make it off-road a couple of times per year. A lack of time and the cost of high-end equipment can make 4WDing prohibitive, which is where the Thunder range comes in. The growing range of switches, gauges and charging equipment has taken Australia by storm, making one of the country’s most popular past times more achievable than ever.
